The event creation process has now been modernized and simplified!
To start, let’s go to the event control page located in your MY ACCOUNT section (circled in red) or located in the link below once you have logged in:
https://teamstake.com/profile/events
Once you are in the MY ACCOUNT section of your account you can find several tabs that allow you to find your “Events/Leagues” that you created, leagues/events you have joined, your transaction history, and your profile as seen circled in red below.
We chose the term “event” as TeamStake will soon implement more features that will allow for a wider audience to get creative with the types of events hosted on TeamStake!
To create a new event, simply click the “New Event” button and fill in the necessary information on the template seen here below:
Once you have clicked the “NEW EVENT” button you can begin filling out the form as seen below…
A public event is an event that will be visible on the event homepage, that any random person can join. A private event will not be viewable on the main event homepage, and the only way it can be viewed is by sending out the event link as seen in the image below:
Event/League Commissioners have the opportunity to earn a percentage of the total prizepool to reimburse themselves for their fantasy league's expenses, which will be listed in your league details as a "Platform Management Fee." The fee you enter is final and cannot be changed. If left empty, no fees will be charged. The maximum platform management fee is 15% of the prizepool & TeamStake shares the platform management fee entered with the commissioner.
Commissioner: The commissioner takes full responsibility of the payout allocation, including rollover funds, and the allocations are not reviewed by the rest of the league.
This is the recommended option for league members who know the commissioner and want to get their payouts quickly.
Majority:
All league members have the ability to vote on the commissioner’s payout allocation. The league funds are transferred when a majority of league members give their approval.
This feature allows the same person to pay for an event multiple times. This can sometimes be used for dynasty fantasy football leagues where players are paying for years in advance from trades.
